Filling up the truck didn’t hurt too bad this time.

It was just nice to have the price per gallon back to a reasonable price.

Feeding the Horses

Here are a few of the beasts that belong to my big family circle.  It was my job a few days this week to feed the crazy animals.  Thats all there really is to say.  My beast is the paint.  She is a Arabian Pain mix.  Love her to death.

Having some fun before the Game.

Burgers Supreme is our favorite burger place in town.  The have great full flavor burgers with good chunky fries.  Also we have been going there as long as I can remember so everyone knows our faces.

Here is how you get there for all those of you who want a really good burger.

So in this little video the Scoot man is sitting in the big kid high chair for the first time ever.  He just about didn’t fit.  We fixed that with a sweatshirt in the right place.  I think he really enjoyed sitting up at the table with us instead of watching from the floor in his car seat.

Voting for those who will decide our future…

It was a cold day for voting but it’s a great day to be a free voting American.  I love living in Provo we had no lines to get in and cast our ballot.

Rootbeer the day after Halloween

We were supper glad that it was Saturday after Halloween.  After all the work on Halloween Friday it was nice to have a day to take everything down and also we enjoyed a BYU football game.  Well we almost didn’t enjoy it.  We didn’t play like we have been and it’s frustrating to watch our guys make stupid mistakes.

All Hallows Eve at the Randles

Halloween at the Randles has always been a fun time.  My parents from the beginning had an idea to have a ghost on the front porch that talked to the trick or treators as they came up looking for candy.  It was a sheet with a head stuffed with newspapers and underneath it was a pair of boots so that everyone thought that there was someone hiding behind speaking.  We would put a speaker behind the sheet and then run the signal into the studio where we would process it to sound ghostly.  I don’t think I showed our version of the ghost speaking on this video but we have a Mr. pumkin man who sits on our pourch and talks with the treators.  My setup is not quite as complex as my fathers but the tools are much smaller today.  I think I shot some of the Pumkin man speaking with my HD camera and if I have time to get it up here I will.

My lifes adventures with my big toe

October 28th, my thought for the day. Get out and do!

Getting a Provo City Shooting permit

Ok so we had a project that called for shooting down town Provo.  I had never shot anything on the streets of Provo before and I wanted to be lagit so we went a searching for a permit.  Well it turns out that it’s much more of a mess than it seemed.  We had to walk a piece of paper around to each department of the city to have them sign it.  Half of the city people looked at us like we were from another planet and acted like they had never seen any such fourm before and they didn’t know what to do with it.  The other half weren’t there.  So it took 3 days of wondering around the offices of Provo trying to reach people.  The thing I think is funny is that when I got the last department ot sign off, the Poliece department, they said that they were going to make it so you have to apply for a shooting permit and then wait 3-6 weeks to get it back.  I mean who in their right minds would even think about shooting in Provo then.  3-6 weeks in produciton time is almost a lifetime.  Compaines are started and then bought away in less time than that.  So at the end of the day I think I will complain to the City and see if I can’t mix some stuff up for the local film comunity.
